Charles & Gloria Garrison
The traits of leadership and high achievement
run through the Garrison family. Charlie Garrison, as well as his sons,
all achieved the Eagle Scout rank. Charlie was heavily involved in his
sons scouting programs and has been active on the local and council
wide levels. He has served the Ft. Hamilton District to support and
expand programs in the Fairfield-Hamilton area and served for several
years as the District Chairman. He is currently the Advancement Chairman
of the Council.
This family history with Scouting is why Charles and Gloria Garrison
included the Dan Beard Council as the beneficiary of a charitable trust
they created. Their gift will benefit ongoing operations and the growth
of the Scouting council as well as the camp where more than 20,000 people
participate annually. This gift is a testament to the commitment and
dedication of the Garrison family towards the Boy Scouts of America
over many years. Their gift will ensure the development of future generations
of young men.
